This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

I never automated that because I saw it as an opportunity to upgrade and try new tools.
I didn't need to do anything now because the new computer was set up just like the old one with the same tools.
