i do think we need to retire the "western game dev has been here" meme though. street fighter 6 is 100 gigs. nioh 3 is 130. ace combat 8 is 140. final fantasy rebirth is 160. this is just what games are now. the problem is AAA scope itself, not bad optimisation or regional trends
