I just realised what Nuzzles the Clown’s prose deep-down reminds me of: it is a piece of my own creative writing from when I was 17 that my dear Eng Lit teacher rightfully trashed for its indulgence and pretentiousness. After that, I only ever adopted that mode for parody.
