This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

i can not fucking tell you how many times i've had 2 browser sessions open, hit ctrl+w to close the current tab, and realized i had the wrong window selected, and lost my place in a video i was watching or closed something else important.
