This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

I like Rails but it's so frustrating how it's influenced what most Ruby devs think is "good code". Ruby mixes amazing ideas from both OOP and FP, by design, yet a big part of it is seen as undesirable just because Rails doesn't normally use it. We literally have function composition out of the box!
