This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

In our testing, all the perf gains we get from Go are basically negated by WASM, such that the performance is actually the same as the old compiler! So, it won't get worse.
Once go gets wasi threads, then we can do better.
