I’ve ended up in this situation so often! On Trover Saves The Universe, a lot of the VO was recorded before the levels existed and was improvised. We had an actor riff for 15 seconds about how long a hallway was. The game was comedy first, so we made an extra long boring hallway to accommodate it.
