This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

Firefox (on MacOS) did the "you need to complete the update to continue", so I mashed the "restart firefox" button.
Then it gave me an auth prompt to install a "helper program" (background updater?), but still hasn't ever come back, and if I restart firefox it just re-prompts me?
So that's cool
