Just finished watching THE DEER HUNTER (Univ '78) for the 9th or 10th time. One of two anti-Vietnam war movies that year. Cimino spends 3 hrs showing the horrors of war on 3 vets and the impact on the community & then cow-tows with "GOD BLESS AMERICA" at the end. COMING HOME has a much better end.
