This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

this is a broader problem. it's the way every large digital games marketplace operates and it sucks.
GOG and itch are exceptions here, and they're excellent, but they don't (and likely won't, sadly) have enough users to sustain a studio.
anyway my point was that it could be way way worse.
