Obscure shark 6: The 5' kitefin (Dalatias licha) is the world's largest bioluminescent vertebrate. It's sooo big, scientists aren't sure *why* it glows. It could use counterillumination to sneak up on prey or even use its bright belly to light up the seafloor. 🧪
