This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

A really important consideration when choosing an open source library/framework etc is how active the community for it is. Things will go wrong and as much as we'd like to be able to dig in to internals as needed that's not always possible and we often have to rely on help of other devs/contributors
