was thinking of this salmon I found in a tree in 2007. In autumn, rivers in Primorye, Russia are choked with spawning pink salmon; the eagles gorge. Even months later, in winter, the air reeked of fish from the 1000s of carcasses in the water. This one was likely dropped by squabbling eagles.
