this is a good and welcome piece, but as I read it I was struck by the fact that I noped out on NPR--after a decade of pretty intense "wow, what a great news outfit!!!" flag-waving--in 2006ish when I started seeing how completely incapable they were of dealing with bad-faith interview subjects
