This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

I think a `width: min-content` would work, as long as the image doesn't have `max-width: 100%` on it.
Of course, we usually want that, but depending on how/where the figures are being used, it's possible it's not required?
