This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

I also think another method with horror particularly, but could be expanded into other genres, is configuring specific aspects.
Some folks can't handle monsters if they can't fight back, other folks are fine with helplessness but have limits to how many jumpscares they can handle.
