Matchmaking takes ages, and player skill in lobbies is mismatched. All the new modes in Splatoon 3 have limited times to play because it splits the queues. The game got 2 years of disappointing updates bc they have no incentive to keep updating post-launch. It needs more players/money to stay alive.
