there's a cis gay drag-as-transmisogyny angle to this too. I don't entirely know how it fits into the circular funding networks piece, but I do remember being quite uncomfortable with some of the Gayglers culture circa 2008-2010 and the trans caricatures that drag as a group activity perpetuated.
