So the Phantom Blot was created for the Mickey Mouse comic strip by Floyd Gottfredson...and the Air Pirates comics are specifically parodies of the comic strip, so the versions of Mickey, Minnie, etc. that need to be in public domain by the mid-2030s may very well be by then.
