A pair of shoes from the end of the 1790s for Footwear Friday. Kid slippers were appropriate for most outfits and times of day - these might have been worn for morning dress, walking, at the opera, or to a ball. (Or possibly a wedding! That would help to explain why such plain shoes survived.) 🗃️🪡
