This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

I've lived in a few places in Maine where I haven't locked my doors. I really enjoy not having to reach for my keys every time I enter my house, and it also comes in handy when I ask friends/neighbors to check on something, drop something off, etc.
But I totally get your standpoint as well...
