This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

I actually don' think it is hyperscalers in general but AWS in particular, and this reliance is because it is actually reliable. Being down for 6 hours once every 2 years+ is damn near 4-9s of reliability (99.99% uptime). Certainly 10x better than the edge network I use to connect to it...
