This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

One major part of the reason I hate on TypeScript so much is that it takes away one of the most expressive and easy to start with features of JavaScript: just being able to write garbage and it still works
