This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

The Nexus will support local multiplayer via a feature they call "EverSync" that works either over wifi ad hoc or bluetooth I'm not sure.
I _believe_ that will work for 2-player multiplayer for Doom at launch with an eye towards expanding it up to the full 4-player.
