It's cool b/c the total effect (conflict->vote share) has been shown by @swegmann.bsky.social & myself here: https://doi.org/10.1017/S0003055422000338. We assumed ofc it is mediated by media coverage - how else would voters know what happens in parliament? - but didn't have empirical proof beyond anecdotes. 2/3
