This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

You could set up a group chat with specific members in Slack or Signal. Transcripts are a JSON download with Slack, though I'm not sure the level of security you need. We did this for a study that used groups of 4 or 5 for D&D games: arxiv.org/pdf/1904.05216
