This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

I remember the "Google is the homepage" card on the wall at alphagov (and my personal favourite, the heartfelt "Fuck IE6"). The lack of IA felt like a reaction to Directgov, which was a surfeit of IA.
Taxonomies were also a casualty. Both made a comeback, but the vision was singular at the start.
