This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

I made the mistake of arguing on the orange site with someone about how Telegram, (many) faults and all, still has superior UI/UX to Signal and Element.
The idea that proper encryption is a blocker/impediment to the "glossiness" or usability of a client like Signal is absolutely bonkers.
