Banning public prayer, and in this case the target is clearly Muslims' prayers, does not "strengthen secularism." It violates rights.
If anything, it weakens secularism because it wrongly suggests a free society cannot accommodate both believers and nonbelievers. Wrong on the morals and the merits.
