The worrying thing perhaps is that—as I believe—the imbalance is not being driven by the canonical greenhouse effect (less OLR) but by shortwave cloud feedbacks (more ASR). There is more model uncertainty in simulating cloud feedbacks than the clear sky greenhouse effect. All models could be wrong!
