I live & teach in Bloomfield, NJ.
Our electricity rates have gone up 28% the past year, a good part due to the incredible energy usage of AI centers.
A lot of our kids will have more stress because their families struggle to meet utility bills.
And yet we push AI, which (btw) currently sucks.
