This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

And I'm not even touching on the topic of "what happens when the client actually has a cached version that is different from the server" which, tbf, most frameworks and RPC solutions are also ignoring.
