I was lucky that I didn’t have to fight to get diagnosed with IBS — my grandfather had been diagnosed with essentially the same syndrome.
A lot of trans women have to fight doctors & insurers to get IBS treatment. Because they view us as men, & the diffdiag for IBS forks at “sex”.
