This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

I would like inline translations in the official Bluesky app too. One factor that may be putting them off from implementing it (apart from all the other things they're trying to do ofc) is the cost. If you have inline translations you have to pay Google for each API request...
