So climate took a back seat to the pressing issues of civil rights, polluted lakes/rivers, the imminent threat of nuclear war, holes in the ozone layer caused by CFCs, women’s rights, etc.
Boomers fought hard on the issues of their day. We didn’t have the predictive capabilities that exist today.
