Yeah, agreed. In a world where LLMs had legal personhood and self-determination, I would want to read unsolicited emails from LLMs, network with them, &c.
I hope we don't create that world! But that's the issue here: I want to know whether my interlocutor is a persistent autonomous agent or not.
