This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

The <template for="x"> syntax of the experimental out-of-order streaming API looked promising. But it seems that I can't misuse it to deduplicate blocks of HTML. I am coming to the conclusion that it deserves its own solution anyway. I hope the [for] on <template> won't be exclusive for streaming.
