Basically... After mating, the female incubates the eggs internally for a few months, and then lays them in a hole, buries them, and that's her maternal duties done. They hatch months later.
Tuatara feed on pretty much anything smaller than themselves.
Baby tuatara are smaller than adult tuatara.
