I checked the New Zealand Election Study data, and in 2002 31% of kids were in households describing themselves on the right (7-11 of 11 pt scale), 24% in left(1-5), and 46% centre/not specified (step 6 or NA).
In 2023 34% in right, 34% in left, 33 centre/not-specified.
