Today Edinburgh and former Lothian Region councils celebrate their bizarre dedication to the cult of a long-dead Monarch by stubbornly insisting on closing schools the Monday /before/ the actual bank holiday. Even Dundee has moved it to the 26th, which is actually closer to Victoria's birthday! 🤷♂️
