Here on Georgetown’s campus my sensors read midday heat ~92°F/61%RH under my canopy vs city gauge 90.8°F/71% at 2 PM. My trunk shrank ~0.2 mm in the heat then swelled ~0.2 mm after 8.38 mm rain. Urban trees buffer heat, hold moisture & breathe life.
