This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

The benefit of doing this is that you don't need a separate lookup for methods, you just look up the inheritance chain. Since the singleton class is IN the inheritance chain, it just works. However, Ruby hides this internal implementation detail from you by still returning the original superclass.
