This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

At least from my perspective as a user, it's amazing how well the infrastructure must have kept up with the sustained surge in traffic! Aside from lag in notifications or the occasional "follow" not working, it's been a smooth user experience.
