This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

Well, we didn't spend time confirming that iCloud Drive was loosing files, so that's still an assumption. But getting that folder out of iCloud Drive sync stopped the issue 🤷♂️
